Castell de Xátiva - Castillo de Játiva - *Xativa Castle*

Discúlpadme, ha pasado demasiado tiempo desde que escribí mi blog. Primero me puse enfermo y luego Gigi y yo visitamos a unos amigos en Escocia. Mi rutina se interrumpío y, una vez que se interrumpe, es difícil restablecerla. A pesar de que mi rutina se va a interrumpir de nuevo este fin de semana por un viaje a los Estados Unidos para recoger a Angelina, quería escribir algo. Recientemente, terminé de editar estas fotos de febrero, así que aquí están.

Cuando decidimos mudarnos a España también decidimos centrarnos en las experiencias por encima de las cosas materiales. En vez de darnos regalos, disfrutamos un viaje o una comida juntos para celebrar fiestas u ocasiones especiales. Así que, para celebrar el cumpleaños de Gigi, decidimos visitar a un gran castillo en Xátiva.

Forgive me, it has been too long since I have written my blog. I was sick and then Gigi and I visited friends in Scotland. My routine was interrupted and, once it is interrupted, it is difficult to reestablish it. Even though my routine will be interrupted again this weekend for a trip to the United States to pick up Angelina, I wanted to write something. Recently, I finished editing these fotos from February, so here they are.

When we decided to move to Spain we also decided to focus on experiences over material things. Instead of giving each other gifts, we enjoy a trip or a meal together to celebrate holidays or special occasions. So, to celebrate Gigi´s birthday, we visited a big castle in Xátiva.

Pasamos un buen día explorando los terrenos del castillo. La parte vieja y la parte más antigua eran interesantes a partes iguales. Definitivamente, dimos nuestros pasos. Me encanta la historia de nuestro nuevo país. Aunque normalmente concentro más en las vistas que las descripciones, todavía puedo sentir la importancia de y el orgullo en la cultura española.

We had a good day exploring the castle grounds. The old part and the ancient part were equally interesting. We definitely got our steps in. I love the history of our new country. Although I normally focus more on the views than the descriptions, I still can feel the importance of and the pride in the Spanish culture.
