Este blog es una trabajo en proceso. Es difícil empezar a escribir una entrada, sin embargo, una vez que empecé este me llenó de alegría.

Este blog es un trabajo en proceso; es decir, es difícil para mí escribirlo con frecuencia. Realmente me gustaría escribir en mi blog al menos un día a la semana, pero con todo lo que ha pasado este verano no tengo la energía para hacerlo. Si me conoces, sabes que no me gusta usar muchas palabras, especialmente si están pasando muchas cosas; me drena. Con suerte, escribiré sobre todas nuestras aventuras muy pronto. Día a día voy restableciendo mi rutina hasta que la próxima aventura la rompa de nuevo. Desde mayo solo ha habido unas pocas semanas <<normales>> y habrá solo unas pocas más hasta octubre. No me malinterpretéis, me encantan todas las aventuras, pero, al mismo tiempo, es muy difícil para mi alma y mi paz. Siempre estoy tratando de mantener un equilibrio entre tiempo social y tiempo para mí, entre viajes y rutinas, entre disfrutar la vida y relajarme con mis hobbies.
This blog is a work in progress; that is to say, it is difficult for me to write it frequently. I would really like to write in my blog at least one day a week, but with everything that has happened this summer I don't have the energy to do it. If you know me, you know that I don't like to use many words, especially if many things are happening; it drains me. Hopefully, I will write about all our adventures very soon. Day by day I am re-establishing my routine until the next adventure breaks it again. Since May there have only been a few “normal” weeks and there will only be a few more until October. Don’t misunderstand me, I love all of the adventures, but, at the same time, it's very difficult for my soul and my peace. I am always trying to maintain a balance between social time and time for myself, between trips and routines, between enjoying life and relaxing with my hobbies.
Todavía tengo que compartir fotos de Escocia, de tiempo con mamá y Angelina en EEUU, de Londres y Benalmádena con Gigi y Angelina. Y pronto, iremos a Suiza, Italia, y Croacia para disfrutar del tiempo con varios amigos. Luego, otros amigos nos vistarán en Santa Pola. Me emociono y me canso solo de pensarlo.
I still need to share photos of Scotland, of time with mom and Angelina in the United States, of London and Benalmádena with Gigi and Angelina. And soon, we will go to Switzerland, Italy, and Croatia to enjoy time with several friends. Then, other friends will visit us in Santa Pola. I'm excited, and tired, just thinking about it.

Un día, compré unas bandejas de fichas para nuestros juegos de mesa. Cuando llegaron, me dije que no necesito pagar €15 por estos. Puedo comprar un impresora 3D y hacerlos ‘gratis’.
One day, I bought some token trays for our board games. When they arrived, I told myself that I don't need to pay €15 for these. I can buy a 3D printer and make them 'for free'.
Un día, compré unas bandejas de fichas para nuestros juegos de mesa. Cuando llegaron, me dije que no necesito pagar 15€ por estas. Puedo comprar una impresora 3D y hacerlas ‘gratis’. Y además, puedo imprimir insertos para las cajas. Ya había estado haciéndolos con cartón pluma. Me gustan, pero no tanto, porque son difíciles de hacer con precisión.

I watched a lot of videos about 3D printers to justify the purchase and decide which one I wanted. I chose the Bambu Lab P1S with AMS. Although many 'hobbyists' prefer to build and modify their printers, I prefer 'out of the box'. Right now this printer is perfect for me and I love it!

At first, I was just printing other people's designs from several web sites, but recently, I've been printing my own designs. They are simple, but I am enjoying learning CAD. With TinkerCad, the process is 'drag and drop': choose some shapes, change the dimensions, and group them. In addition, you can convert a shape into a hole and when you group it, it cuts out the shape.

Este diseño se hizo con un anillo, un cubo muy fino, y dos cilindros (los agujeros para los tornillos). También uno tiene un tercer cilindro muy corto. Puedes ver el resultado final en la galería de abajo.
This design was made with a ring, a very thin cube, and two cylinders (the holes for the screws). Also one has a very short third cylinder. You can see the final result in the gallery below.

Me gusta que en realidad no sean lo que parecen, especialmente en dibujos animados o cómics. Llevan pajaritas como si llevaran esmóquines, pero se comportan tontamente.
